Chamber Candlestick

Post by DublinFusiler »

Hello,

I have recently added this to my collection and would appreciate your thoughts on the maker.

It appears to me to be John Hamilton as the mark is a crowned IH.

256 g and 5 inches wide, 2 inches high.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Karl,

From what I can see of the mark, it does look like a match for John Hamilton although I'm struggling to see a pellet between the letters.

Yes, it does look like John Hamilton's mark but like Trev, the lack of a pellet puzzles me. However, I inverted the image and have highlighted where I think the pellet is. I'm still not certain though.
