Can anyone help me to recognise this strange ball in function, maker and time? It has no silver marks or any other marks.
Its a silver (I think) band with enamel tops
Maybe it's been used in a jewelry shop for advertising in the shop window.
It has the style of David Anderson ,J. Tostrup ,or aksel Holmsen.
Thank you for thinking along

A kind of ball
Re: A kind of ball
Hi,
I suppose it does not open, or does it ? Try to unscrew one of enameled caps (gently). If it`s perfect sphere and has no flat supporting surface it`s not the best design for a paperweight, either, unless it`s Doctor Who Wibbly Wobbly Paperweight.
No practical use whatsoever unless meant to advertise if placed securely. Besides, people collect spheres (glass minerals, ivory).
Too many ideas, no clue.
Regards
