i had an evil eye trinket but when it broke down upon closer inspection the ring it was hanged from had the following signs 830 (scand. silver?) and GS or 3S not sure. id like any possible identification and info please.

Hi ~ welcome to the forums.
It's usually helpful to show a picture of the item in question, but since you say it's an evil eye piece, it's probably Cypriot rather than Scandinavian - Cyprus also uses .830 fineness silver, and would be a much more likely place of origin...
