I am not a silver specialist and could use help in identification. The piece that I have a question about is a repoussed sterling silver heart-shaped frame overlay. On the lower right of the piece the hallmarks present are the initials WC - the London city symbol - the Sterling silver symbol - and the date symbol that appears to be a letter "a", that I believe could be either 1898 or 1776. Re: Maker Identification Needed: WC
This WC is William Comyns and Sons. The "a" is the London date code for 1896.
