Help With Coin Silver Spoon- Maker J Gray

Post by Sterlingfiend »

Hi there,

Picked up this spoon today and can not find anything about the maker. It is marked "J. Gray Coin". The only infor I can find on any maker would be [John Gray (c. 1811) Philadelphia Pa- Directory of American Silver by the Kovels] My question is: This spoon seems to be made in the Aesthetic Period (1860's), could he have been in production that long? Any Help and any info would be greatly appreciated! P.S. I won't tell you how much I paid cause you'll cry- it was soooo low!
