Maker of sauce ladle.

This 1884 London sauce ladle appears to have been struck with a makers mark of MJ, which I have been unable to trace. I am thinking it could possibly be a mis-struck George Maudsley Jackson mark, I would be interested in the view of others.

Yes, almost certainly GMJ:



Note the relative positions of the bottom of the M and J.
