Hello, I am unable to identify the following maker's mark in a French silver teacup and saucer. It looks like an L over crossed Ls. I would appreciate any info. Thanks!
Identification of French maker's mark
Re: Identification of French maker's mark
Hello
You don’t show a Minerva mark, so can’t tell if this is a Paris maker. If it is, recommend you search the French Ministry of Culture website for makers registered after 1878.

I suggest a 20thC timeframe for this object because of the monogram, CGT, Compagnie Générale Transatlantique, the French steamship company.
Good luck in your research!

Re: Identification of French maker's mark
Thank you very much! Here I add photos of the monogram, that actually is GCC (I can't find what it refers to), and the Minerva mark. I haven't been able to find the maker in the Ministry of Culture yet, but I will keep looking.JayT wrote:Hello
