Hi,
I think bas relief on silver by Moroni is being made by MIDA argenti located in Recanati,Macerata province, founded 1974.
At least some of his works I have seen were made by MIDA;cannot tell if the artist opened his own studio and was registered as silversmith.

Hi and thank you for the information. I think this might be the Artist I'm looking for. The R in the box looks the same.
I see some have how many gram it weighs unless it's in the small mark below?

I have another photo the name is on both silver plate and frame.
I've had this for over 30 years and it was bought in Italy 34 years ago.
If anyone has any other information it would be appreciated.

What you have is a resin base covered with a layer of silver. To identify such pieces and so that they are not to be confused with solid silver items, as they do contain a full set of Italian marks, the Italian government required some extra marks to be struck. These extra marks are a 'R' within a square, this stands for 'Riempito' (filled), and also a set of figures that indicate the amount of silver applied, in grams (1÷2 g, 2÷3 g, 3÷5g, etc.). These are not exact weights, but must fit into range stated by each mark.

The 'R' has nothing to do with the artist, this why we needed close-up images of the marks.The R in the box looks the same.
