Just trying to get information about this ring. It was passed down to me from my Grandfather. He got it while he was in the military, over seas, in the 50's.

The lowermost double character in your photos appears to be the "jungin" mark 銀 which means silver.
I'm not sure whether your ring is Chinese or Japanese.
