Help with a hallmark possibly an early Gorham?

Post by hja71 »

I have a set of spoons with a hallmark I cannot seem to locate. I had other silver from the same estate and most were from the late 1700's to the early 1800's and from NH, MA or NY. I believe these to be from the same time period. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.

Your manufacturing mark has been attributed to Benjamin Gurnee of New York City. His name is not found in city directories after 1861.
