Assistance with Polish Silver Box

Post by dartsil »

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can shed any light on this box, am I missing something glaringly obvious?

The internal base section has this brass looking part which rotates, if the brass section was deeper you would say it was for pills but there is very little depth on it for this purpose.

Its Polish in origin and I would guess from the 1920's to 1940's. the makers mark is almost rubbed away but if anyone can see enough to determine the maker that would be an added bonus.

Thanks in advance,
Colin

Thanks , it was something I had considered but was unsure exactly how it would work.

Obviously not something myself have used! (honest!)
