Identification needed, "? and Barnum" and Hallmark

Post by sculptor »

I located both spoons at an estate sale. They are obviously hand made, in coin silver, and quite soft. The Barnum name is clear; however the preceeding one is mostly obscured. In addition, I have not had success locating the hallmarks. I'd appreciate any help the forum can provide. Best regards, Joe

Cheryl, appreciate the information. I assume the ? & Barnum was a sale house or other tradesmen ... is this reasonably possible, and can anyone identify the "?" name. Thanks again, Joe

Prince & Barnum advertised in the Galveston Daily News between from 1866 to 1868 as Jewelers and Watchmakers at 170 Tremont Street.
