Hello, agree that this is the Deyhle lion. Deyhle sometimes produced pieces of a fineness rather uncommon in German like 830S or 875. Believe they were meant for export. As to the "Vietor" lion: this is a misunderstanding dating back to the early 1900s and orginating in the "questions and answers section" of the periodical Deutsche Goldschmiede Zeitung. It concerned a piece with the old Darmstadt city mark (a lion) and the name Vietor. This was mistakenly interpreted as the lion being also as Vietor mark, as knowledge of the old hallmarking system had been mostly lost by then. The mistake creeped into the old handbooks for German goldsmiths and persists since then. Authentic Vietor pieces made after 1888 bear halfmoon, crown, the number for stating the fineness and the full name "Vietor". Regards, Bahner
