For those that know their Christopher Dresser this is a fascinating piece. It combines Dresser designs from his silver plate candlesticks for Hukin and Heath, and his copper candlesticks from Benham and Froud. Since the piece is 800 silver it cannot be a UK made piece assayed in Hungary. Putting all that together I am of the view that this is an actual Dresser design sold to the mystery Pest maker. It is known Dresser sold designs all over Europe but very few are known.
