Two ecclesiastical plates

Post by meyrink »

Hello.

I would like to ask you for help with these two silver plates. Should be Moscow 1791, assayer mark AB, maker AOП and other mark HИ. I was looking for it in Ivanov, 2002 but no match (only for Petersburg).

Thank you very much

Hi,
Both marks (alderman АОП) in Moscow and maker Н.И are in PL 2728 and 2729 but classified as unknown. Not matching years, though; entry says 1796 - 1807.
They are patens or discs, always in combination with star and lance.

Skurlov mentioned 3 mastes with the same name, but they worked much later:

I have no data of any Nikita Ivanov in 18th century.
