Hullo. I found this spoon in a odd lot of coin, sterling, and plate. I believe it dates to 1813 in London, but the marks are pretty well rubbed. The Coope & Leigh mark is puzzling. That one is very clear, and I am wondering if it is possibly a retailer?
Thanks for any insight!
Coope & Leigh

Hi,
Welcome to the Forum.
The marks are pseudos. Coope & Leigh, as you suggested, appears to be a Brooklyn based wholesaler/retailer:
Coope & Leigh - Brooklyn, N.Y. - 1841

Thanks for the reply and the welcome!
I have seen pseudo marks before, but these look so authentic to me. I guess I would’ve been duped in the 1800s!!
