Hi all, I came across a lovely little hinged box with a mark I'm thinking may be a George Turner. But the other marks are giving me pause and I'm curious if anyone else on the forum has any input on what they may represent or if I'm barking up the wrong tree entirely. The interior has a golden tone leading me to wonder if it's been gold washed. Thank you for any input!!
Possible George Turner Box
Re: Possible George Turner Box
:::: There is someone very good with 19th century Sicily Italian silver hallmarks so check if these hallmarks are 19th century Sicily. ::::
:::: Maybe somewhere else in Italy? :::::

Re: Possible George Turner Box
I think Aguest got it right.
Everything leads to Palermo, 1756. Compare with the hallmark of this Eucharistic case

For convenience I have placed side by side the marks of the case with yours.
I have not identified the "G dot T star" mark, but at that time in Palermo there are several silversmith's marks with the final star.
Best regards
Amena
