It's Italian. The damaged first digit will be a number. Could it be 587 AL?

Hi,
It is Italian, before 1968.
Most likely AL for Allesandria.There cannot be anything in front of 8 except for another digit (187 was assigned to Luigi Lombardi who was out of business before 1949).
It is a condiment, salt or pepper spoon.
