I got this coffee set from an online platform. The 3 items are only marked "SILVER". They are VERY heavy, normally an indication for silver plated. But I have a feeling for "massive" silver. And, one picture shows the internal of the coffee pot, there you can see it is made of 3 parts, a base and two halves soldered together. For me this indicates they are not plated, but the (925?) silver alloy only solderd.
They are somehow crudely made with casted parts solderd on.
I think they are from Asia or the Americas, but I don't know. This is why I put them in the other country section of European Silver. Trev, if the area of production is decided, can you move the post to the correct place? Thank you.
My questions are:
- Where are they from?
- Any guess for a manufacturing period?
- Am I correct in my assumtion they are not silver plated but "massive"?
Thank you, Jörg
