My dad was a keen stirling silver collector but did'nt tell me the history. The item in question is a silver turkey dome. I believe he purchased it at the London SIlver Vault in the 1960's Enclosed pictures
Hi and welcome to the forum. I regret to tell you that this is electroplated and not sterling silver. It was made by the Sheffield company, Martin, Hall & Co and the main lettering reads EPGS for ElectroPlated German Silver. German silver is a pre-World War I name for the base metal alloy nickel silver.
