STILSICHER
Until 3rd March 2023
Don't underestimate the power of jewelry in an outfit. With an accentuating brooch, extravagant earrings or a peppy accessory, every style, no matter how simple, looks more elegant in no time and as if its wearer had put in a lot of effort and headaches to create a fabulous look. Jewelery underscores one's personal style and turns one's appearance into something very special.
The special show STILSICHER shows the harmonious and engaging interplay of fashion and jewellery. Various outfits and clothing styles are presented in the form of hand-drawn fashion sketches. The drawings come from the jewelry artist Anne Menzel, who has her workshop in the interactive exhibition, and were created especially for the special show STYLISH. In addition, the exhibition combines selected pieces of jewelry and accessories from the various workshops of the Gablonz industry. Lush or subtle, intensely colored or calm - the selection forms stylish combination suggestions for jewelery and fashion.
Freely adapted from Yves Saint Laurent, one can say: style is more than a trend, style is personality. And with this in mind, the special show wants to show that style is independent of fashion preferences and current trends. What matters most is the winning combination of selected colors and shapes. Style is an attitude that everyone can afford.
“Fashion is ephemeral. never style.”
(Coco Chanel)
