The Art of Fame: Art Medals in the Goldsmiths' Company Collection 1973-2023
30th May until 3rd June 2023
The Art of Fame celebrates the art medal in Britain from 1973 to 2023, as represented by stunning examples selected from the exceptional Collection of the Goldsmiths’ Company. The Company is a major patron of the art medal as a contemporary art form. Including a unique series of portraits in silver, as well as thematic medals on topical issues such as climate change, the medals on display are exquisite experiments in form and expression.
Join Curator, Dr Dora Thornton each day at 11:00 (1:30 on Tuesday 30 May) for a short talk about this exhibition.
