Life and Legacy: Dorothy Hogg
30th May until 3rd June 2023
Outstanding Scottish jeweller Professor Dorothy Hogg MBE (1945 - 2022) led the Department of Silversmithing and Jewellery at Edinburgh College of Art from 1985 to 2007, making the education offered there some of the best in the world. Together with colleagues William Kirk and Susan Cross, and an international roster of visiting tutors, she taught a series of alumni who have gone on to become leading figures across a wide range of design-led careers. This exhibition showcases the Company's pre-eminent collection of Dorothy's own lyrical jewellery alongside the work of her colleagues and students, including Anna Gordon, Andrew Lamb, Cóilín Ó Dubhghaill, Misun Won and Joanne Thompson.
Join Deputy Curator, Dr Frances Parton each day (excluding 3 June) at 11:30 (2:00 on Tuesday 30 May) for a short talk about this exhibition.
