I just acquired this expandable trivet I believe to be silverplate.
There are 3 marks on the back the first looks like a castle tower or a chess "rook" the second looks like a"W" with barbs on the points like a trident and the third is a crown. Each mark is surrounded by an incomplete shield outline. making it appear to be struck poorly. I did find an eBay auction with the same item and identical marks in including the incomplete shields. "W" seems to be a rare mark and I can't find anything similar to the castle or rook mark.
I'd appreciate and help or information.
Thank You
I can't seem to upload photos so here is the eBay auction I mentioned with clear pictures

Do you have any info on what the symbols mean? location, date, maker?
