German sause ladle

Post by JanGroen »

Good day
Found this in the silverplatr scratch patch at the market this morning. It is some type of sauce ladle. It bares the 800 German silver mark with moon and crown. I can't figure out what the maker mark is. Any idea of pattern, use and maker will be welcome.

Hi Jannie,

It looks like Vereinigte Silberwaren-fabriken of Düsseldorf to me.

Hello
In France this would be a cream ladle, used during the dessert course to serve crème anglaise or other light custard creams.
Enjoy your ladle!
Regards.
