Hi all! In looking over some silver jewelry, I discovered this cuff (top photo) with markings. From what I can find it's a Nubian Silver Cuff but I'm having a difficult time distinguishing the markings to identify location, purity, and date(#1). I also, noticed what appears to be a fish stamped (#2) on a portion of the cuff--am not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me but wanted to get some input as to whether or not it has any significance, if it is in fact there. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated!
Nubian Cuff Bracelet Markings
Re: Nubian Cuff Bracelet Markings
Hi welcome to the forum.
More likely modified Egyptian marks from left to right; 1.) Assay office identifier- Qena, above fineness mark = 90% silver ۹۰ . 2.) lotus flower. 3.) Date mark around 1990(?).
