Hi all, I'm looking to confirm that this little dish is silver plate. I've seen several examples of the "Essay Canada" mark but all have EP Copper marked underneath but mine does not.
Thanks!

Hello, welcome to the Forum, nice crisp images. I think there is every chance your dish is not electroplated. You have "925" under the scroll. 925 per 1000 parts would indicate Sterling silver unless was there to deliberately deceive. The "42" would be a company pattern or stock mark. The company however, of Toronto Ontario, is not well known to me being the wrong side of the North Atlantic.

Thanks for the reply! I initially thought the 925 meant that it was sterling silver but I'm also wondering if it's a sneakily designed serial number.
