Silver chain and cross with 8 hallmarks, country? Maker?

Post by Vantlicht »

I never saw so much hallmarks in a chain. But now I am curious why they marked it with so much hallmarks. There are some dutch hallmarks, but also some unknowed (to me at least). Maybe somebody recognize some marks and can tell me from which country it originally came?

The Vienna Convention (1972–present)
The Vienna Convention is an international treaty between a number of countries aimed at facilitating cross-border trade in precious metal objects. Objects that have been inspected by an affiliated guarantee institution and stamped with the Common Control Mark (CCM) are recognized in the other affiliated countries and do not need to be re-inspected upon import in the other affiliated countries. After approval, an object will bear the following marks; a maker's mark, the fine grade in Arabic numerals applied by the maker, a grade indicating mark indicating the fine grade that has its own contour for each metal and a specific office identifying mark that refers to the institution that carried out the inspection.
