Hi everyone,
A while back I purchased a Dutch silver necklace and pendant. I've been to identify the hallmarks and I could use some help.
The necklace only has a makers mark: AH3 for J.A. Hooykaas (1917-1957). Can anyone date the style? I've seen plenty of similar looking pieces, but I'm not sure which in decade it was in fashion, and if possible I would like to date it a bit more precise than "between 1917-1957.
The necklace has three hallmarks:
A sword for Dutch silver (1906-1957).
A 'keyhole'(?) with a number 2 in it (picture 3). Does this mean that the piece consisted of 2 parts originally? Would that have included the pendant (since that does not have its own silver mark, only a markers mark), or maybe something else (or is that impossible to say)?
A makers mark (pictures 4 and 5, same mark, different lighting): Seems to be a M with a triangle on each side. It looks like there might have been an additional character to the left, so it could have been "? triangle M triangle". Does anyone recognize this makers mark?
1: Pendant
2: Necklace
3: Sword and 'keyhole'

Re: Dutch silver pendant and necklace
Thank you so much, Amena!
I got the info about the 'keyhole' from another website, but I guess I interpreted that incorrectly.
The mark on the necklace is a lower number (2 would be 2 x 5 = 10 grams) printed vertically in a pointed frame-shape, so it's from after 1953, if I understand correctly.
Dutch hallmarks seem to be a lot more complicated that English hallmarks, I'm usually able to figure those out without any problems. But that also makes the Dutch hallmarks a lot more interesting.

Oh dear, forgot all about the sword. The sword indicates it's from 1906-1953. So apparantly lower numbers in a pointed frame-shape were also printed vertically between 1906 and 1953.
Re: Dutch silver pendant and necklace
The maker's mark is A triangle M Triangle in hexagon for Fa.(Firm) Arie Mesker & Zoon, registered in the city of Schoonhoven 1941/1976.
