Kiddush cup

Post by amena »

Hi.
I suspect that the marks on this kiddush cup (as it is described) are not genuine.
Can anyone confirm that?

The figurine is really crude and then, in the same auction there are various Italian objects that are definitely fake.
On the bottom edge I think there is a Cyrillic writing that I can't decipher
Can anyone understand it?
Thanks for your attention.

As I suspected, Maigret would say.
Thank you Ubaranda for your confirmation.
I have said it before, how can you trust the experts of the auction houses?

@amena,
Sorry to say but you cannot 100% trust the "expert's statements" in the auction houses. I never do. They usually make their statements in a hurry and often with poor results (sorry "experts") . Statements made by laymen (like many of us) are usually more reliably. Of course mistakes happens to all, nobody is perfect.
