Musée du Bijou Contemporain
Haut-de-Cagnes – Place du Château
06800 Cagnes-sur-Mer
France
Musée du Bijou Contemporain
Installed in the former antique store of the singer Suzy Solidor, the museum of contemporary jewelry offers the general public to discover this art that avant-garde creators, from France and elsewhere raise every day to the highest level.
While the temporary exhibitions allow visitors to discover the world of one or more artists around a theme, the permanent collection, with its 300 pieces, already outlines a history of contemporary jewelry, which began in the 1960s.
In 1995, the city was awarded the label “Ville et métiers d’art” for its action in favor of contemporary jewelry. Cagnes-sur-Mer is the only city in France to be certified for this activity.
Opening hours: July and August: Wednesday to Monday from 2pm to 6pm.
April, May, June and September: Wednesday to Sunday from 2 to 6 pm.
From October to March: Wednesday to Sunday from 2 to 5 pm.
Closed on Tuesdays and on 25/12 and 01/01.
Admission: Free
