Hi everyone,
I picked up this silver sewing awl today (or at least that's what I think it is). It's marked with the sword for Dutch silver, it looks like the 1906-1953 sword to me. The maker's mark is *B* (3rd photo). I looked in various online databases but I did not find a match (closest thing was *B* in a shield with the stars slightly above the B). Does anyone recognize this maker's mark? I would be very grateful for any information.

Re: Silver sewing awl
Awls were used to poke holes in stiff fabric, canvas, felt and leather so that the needle could pass through easily.
Maker's mark *B* in rectangle for C.L.J. Begeer, this particular mark used 1924/1941

Re: Silver sewing awl
Thank you for your help, Peter!
Glad to know that I was at least able to spot the similarity between the Begeer mark used between 1904/1951 and the one found on my sewing awl.
Regards,
Natascha
