Hi,
I have a russian bowl which I have found out to be made by Nicols & Plinke in St.Petersburg in 1873. The bowl has also a nice coat of arms.
I would like to know who is the assayer. If there is also some knowledge of the coat of arms it would be interested to know.
Rgds,

Hi, unknown assayer, active in St. Petersburg ca. 1870-1891. The "P K" would be the maker. There is no known maker with exactly this mark, but it seems possible that the PK stands for Robert Kokhun (literal transcription), active around 1874-1883. Just a gut feeling: I believe the "NP" mark is a later tax mark. Best wishes, Bahner
