Rogers fork marked "GERMAN SILVER"

Any one know how long the Wm A Rogers {GERMAN SILVER}line was produced" Reading from left to right PAT MAY 24 191(worn off), Wm. A. Rogers , then GERMAN over SILVER both inside {}, then a horseshoe with R inside that. No websites I've checked (6 to 8 hrs a day the past 11 days) even mention such.

I 'preciate the reply Tom. I had figured it was the material used to make the fork, rather than the pattern. This is the only Wm A.Rogers (Oneida owned I believe) piece I've seen made from "german silver " and haven't seen any reference to such at any of the replacement sites and collectors sites I have checked out. It has a huge 5 petal flower on the end of the fork handle --straight shallow point-not round--half flower on each sidebelow that--under that is a long double line shield followed by a smaller 5 petal flower. Back of fork has 8 leaves on it not on the front. The sholder has one of the flower on each side laid over what might be ferns with a leaf between and above them at the junction of the shakf and body of the fork. (correct terms???) i hope the description sounds familular to some one. My Sony camera can't get close enough to objects to take a clear pic of them.

Hello, after the USA got involved in the First World War in April 1917, all references to Germany in brand names, pattern and the like were removed or changed. So I guess that Rogers used this mark before 1917. Best wishes. Bahner
