Unusual spoon mystery mark #1 - Campbell?

Post by admin »

Strange piece, an early no shoulder fiddle pattern spoon with an engraved drop, I'd guess around 1810, though it could be later. It has odd proportions, being 9 1/2 inches long with only a 1 1/2 inch wide bowl. The maker's mark - Campbell - is also very atypical in a graphic sense. Has anyone seen this mark anywhere?
Thanks, Tom
