I am trying to help my dad figure out the marks on this necklace- we bought it at a wealthy estate sale, and it came in a Cartier box, although we are not sure if it is made by them. It is gold, silver and/or white gold, and does have real diamonds.
We can make out the one side: 750029 and there are four digits/letters on the other.
I appreciate any help!

Write to Cartier and ask whether those are their numbers; if they are, they will be able to give you all the particulars including date of manufacture. Usually there should be a maker's mark - have you looked absolutely everywhere including edges, catch etc? It is a well-finished item & suggests high grade of manufacture. Perhaps from the mid 1970s
