Gorham silverplate dish - is it from the 1950s?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone who was familiar with Gorham might know if my dish is an unusual design? From what I have seen looking around on the site, the Gorham pieces don't seem to look as "modern" as mine.

On the underside: Gorham E P with an anchor in-between the letters - YC689. And there is a silver adhesive sticker which is extremely faded, but I can make out "Gorham silverplated."

So my question is really: is this an unusual design for Gorham - and confirming that the EP means "Elmwood Plate."

Hi,
It is a nice modernist design, typical of what Gorham was producing in the 50s,& 60s, alongside its more tradition designs.
The EP mark stands for Electroplate.
Elmwood Plate was a Gorham trademark line in the 1st quarter of the 20th century, and as a trademark, I believe its full name was always used.
