This is a Sheffield plate vase, it is 25 inch/ 64 cm tall. It has no marks anywhere (I have gone over it with a magnifying glass). To me the style is late 19th century, though I suspect it may be older, say 1850-60. I would much appreciate if someone with a trained eye could help me determine the age a bit more precisely.
The foot is copper with silver wire to make up the pattern, the mount joining the foot and the trumpet is brass. The top is also lined with silver wire, and a bit down the inside it seems it had a liner at some point, because it has a tin-like surface.
It looks english to me, but I am not sure. Someone told me these where made in France aswell.
