Allan Adler was a California based mid-century modern silversmith and jeweler. Adler was born in 1916 and apprenticed with his father-in-law, the famed Arts & Crafts silversmith Porter Blanchard. When Adler opened his own workshop in 1939, he continued to work in the arts & crafts tradition, but with modernist design sensibility and a sharp aesthetic that appealed to an elite clientele. He continued producing handwrought sterling until his death in 2003.
