Aachen City Mark North Rhine-Westphalia The eagle came in various, but similar, shield cartouches, the letter "S" above "ach" is the assayer's mark.

Altenburg City Mark Thuringia This mark came in various cartouches in the 17th & 18th centuries. In the first half of the 17th C. a mark depicting a human hand was used.

Altona City Mark Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg Variations on this three tower mark used since early 18th cent.
Altona's mark is similar to the Hamburg mark, but usually with conical towers. It
sometimes has a letter (indicating assayer) within the gate. Altona is now a part of the city of Hamburg.

Augsburg City Mark Bavaria Beginning in 1734, a letter

Bamberg City Mark Bavaria Variations on the letter B were used from the 17th century through the 19th century, sometimes including a Loth number. Also used was shield cartouche containing a lion rampant with a diagonal slash across it. Bottom example could be either Bamberg or Bützow.

Berlin City Mark Brandenburg About 1745, a letter (indicating the assayer) was added within the standing bear's circle. Beginning in 1818 a separate letter mark was added to indicate the secondary assayer - this will appear in addition to the primary assayer's letter within the bear mark.
