Waite, Thresher Co. Providence, Rhode island Active 1884-c.1928, silver and gold thimble manufacturers. Originally founded by Daniel B. Waite in 1860 as D.B. Waite & Co., Henry Thresher became a partner in 1884. Simons Brothers acquired their designs when the firm dissolved. First mark was a star, the thimble in its interior was added later. Successor to Waite, Smith & Co.
