(b.1900-d.1981) Active from c.1925, silversmith, jeweler, designer, and teacher, German born, Bauhaus influenced, emigrated to Israel in 1933 and taught metalwork at New Bezalel from 1935. Emigrated to U.S. in 1956, headed the Tobe Pascher Workshop at the Jewish Museum. Noted for judaica and incorporating Hebrew calligraphy into his modern designs.
